SAFFRON RECIPE BOOK

Saffron is not only for cooking in food and could be used for Pharmaceutical, Beauty, Beverage and Dying purposes. 

How prepare Saffron to use in your recipes?

Crack saffron threads by cutting with scissors into a cup. Or use a mortar and pestle (or a small electric coffee grinder) to grind the saffron threads into powder. Now, place 1/2 teaspoon powdered saffron in a cup; pour 4 tablespoons of hot water over saffron and stir. Put a lid on it and leave it to soak for at least 15mins before using. Liquid saffron is best to keep in the fridge and consume within one week.

 

Tip: By removing moisture from the Saffron, it will be more colorful. So before grinding Saffron you can put some of that inside the microwave for 30 seconds or you can slowly toast threads in a skillet over low heat but be careful not to burn.
